The RockSolid Polyurea Garage Coat™ is the ultimate solution in both speed and strength. As a One Part System, it has no mixing and no measuring; just shake, pour and roll. The Garage Coat cures extremely quickly, allowing foot traffic in 4-8 hours and vehicle traffic within 24 hours, while having a virtually unlimited pot life. Time is finally on your side-these coatings won't cure until they're rolled out. Effective in temperatures between zero and 120 degrees, this coating can be applied any time of year. Ultra low VOCs make it a great choice for indoor applications, especially when minimal to no odor is a must. Self-leveling capabilities provide even more ease-of-application. The Garage Coat, like all RockSolid Floors® polyurea coatings, also offers unsurpassed durability. Polyurea is 20 times more durable and 98% more flexible than epoxy, ensuring that it won't crack or peel. With its resistance to salt, oil, gas and other harsh chemicals, this is one of the toughest floor coatings on the planet. It's easy to maintain and will last a lifetime while still looking fantastic. The ultra low VOCs in the RockSolid Polyurea Garage Coat™ also make it environmentally friendly, bringing the harmful chemicals involved to an absolute minimum. Even the packaging has been made environmentally safe, using pouches instead of cans. These pouches not only make it easier to work with, but also reduce waste sent to landfills. The specially-designed RockSolid Floors Foam Roller™, included in each kit, is the key to creating the exact thickness needed for optimal performance, providing the most professional finish available.
Applied according to directions, using the acid to prepare the surface and applied in small sections. Used the power washer on it 6 months later and it peeled up in several spots. Contacted Rock Solid since this is supposed to be guaranteed, sent pictures as asked and have not heard another word from them. Don't be fooled by their worthless guarantee or claims on their packaging or website. This product is not worth any amount of money since it does not live up to its name.
Polyurea is an amazing product and when on a garage floor it is stunning. But you need to know what you are doing. Like any coating you need to have the skill set to apply this correctly, and more over prep is key. DO NOT use the etch solution. Rent a concrete floor grinder and remove the top layer of your floor. It will lightly remove any old coatings, tire marks, oil stains etc. It also scuffs up the surface so the polyurea will bond correctly. Do not wash the floor, remove the dust then coat. Adding water to the floor is counter productive.
There are a series of youtube Vidoes that do a much better job than what is included in this kit. Search polyurea full chip and rock solid full chip. It will show you in depth what to do, after watching you will have a masters in polyurea garage floor coating.
I just finished using the RockSolid kit and the results are stunning. I went with a full chip application and the floor looks like a granite counter top. Saved well over $1500-$2000 doing it myself. Do not use the roller included, use a 18" roller, and squeegee the top coat with a solvent resistant blade, then back roll.
Apply this when the humidity is lower and the floor is completely dry.
Pros: Professional, stunning when done with full chip
